Horse riding and horse riding holidays.
The Cifra stables were once part of Earl György Károlyi's estate and were built in 1880. The name "Cifra" means fancy and refers to ornate and decorative nature of the stables. The stables were built to house the earls carriages and horses for his hunting lodge which is now the Castle Hotel in Paradsasvar. The large impressive building currently houses a carriage and carriage building musem as well as stabling upto 30 horses. There is a sand school and a large paddock.
We are available 7 days a week.

At the Cifra stables you are welcome to get involved with grooming and tacking of your horse for the week, however this is entirely at your discretion. Please advise us when booking. We recommend that you bring your own hat and boots and suitable clothing for variable weather conditions. If you don't have your own equipment don't worry as we can provide a hat and chaps for Ł5/week, just remember a sturdy pair of boots or shoes.
The riding at the Cifra stables is managed by Emese Farago, she is a trained rider and show jumper with over 21 years of experience riding and training horses, she has ridden since the age of 6 and competed since the age of 13. She is also a fully trained ride leader.
The horses working at the stables are Hungarian half bloods (Kisberi), Haflingi and Furiozo horses. They are aged between 4 and 13 years and are easy going, relaxed horses. All are forward going and responsive. We have horses to suit all abilities and horse riding is available all year round even in winter. Riding in the snow is good fun and the only time we could not ride out is if the ground was dangerously icy.
Accommodation for the Cifra stables is provided at the Matyas guest house as part of our standard riding week. Alternative accommodation is also available in the stables themselves!
