Horse riding holidays

Terms & Conditions

* Due to the working nature of Fenyes Puszta Ranch, Mondays are rest days for the horses so no riding is available. Therefore arrival/departure day for full riding packages is Monday however other arrival/departure days are available by arrangement.

* Minimum age for trail riders is 12 and all children must ride with their parents at all times. We are happy to take children under 12 for riding at the ranch.

* Maximum weight for riders is 100 Kg (approx 16 Stone).

* Earliest check in is 2:00 PM, check out by 10:00 AM or if no other guests arriving to the room then it is possible to stay later.

* Riding group size is between 1-6 people.

* Payment: 25% non refundable deposit at time of booking, balance 4 weeks before departure.

* Please note the schedule of the standard riding week may change without notice (due to weather, time of year etc.)

* Please note that in the event of the Hanga guest-house being fully booked we will offer similar, alternative accommodation as close to the Ranch as possible.

* It is your responsibility to arrange your own visa if you require one to enter Hungary.

* The safety of our guests and horses is of utmost importance to us. Therefore the first riding day will include an initial assessment by the Ranch Manager, Laszlo Fazekas. This is necessary so that riders can be best matched to the most suitable horses and ensure that all riders have the required ability for this kind of riding. Laszlo is the guide on the trail rides at Fenyes Puszta and is responsible for the whole group's safety.

* If a rider does not meet the required standard an alternative menage lesson will be offered. Should they improve sufficiently they will be able to join the trail riding group. Unfortunately in this case no refund can be given for the missed trail riding sessions. Beginners will always start with menage lessons until they are comfortable walking and trotting.

* Please note that if you choose to miss a riding session that session is lost and cannot be used later. Riding sessions/number of riding hours cannot be transferred to another person.

* Horse riding can be a dangerous activity and as such Discover Hungary Ltd. cannot accept responsibility for any personal injury or loss.

Cancellation Fees:

* If you cancel more than 4 weeks before departure: 25% non refundable deposit.

* If you cancel less than 4 weeks before departure: 50% of total amount.

* In the unlikely event that we have to cancel your holiday a full refund will be given.

Options

* Single person supplement: £50 per week unless willing to share a room.

* 5% discount for second week and repeat bookings for guests booking our full riding week.

* 5% discount for groups of 4 or more.

* Airport transfers are available on request at £30 per person for a return trip. £35 per person between the hours of 22: PM and 7:00 AM.

Health Advice:

Please make sure that you bring suitable insect repellent with you as mosquitos are present in the summer months. You will also need protection against ticks as they can be found in woodland. Spray or roll on insecticides are very effective and we would advise that you wear long trousers with the trouser leg tucked into socks and closed shoes when walking in woodland. Please make sure you have picked up a European Health Insurance Card from your local Post Office which entitles you to emergency medical treatment in Hungary free of charge. Formally an E1-11.

We strongly recommend you take out suitable, comprehensive travel insurance.
