Horse riding holidays

Horse Riding Schedule for a Full week at Fenyes Puszta Ranch.

Our full riding week package for the main season consists of 7 nights half board accommodation at the Hanga guest house, 20 hours of riding over 6 days. A bottle of wine per couple with each evening meal. A pizza night or outdoor goulash at the ranch replaces one of the evening meals, usually on a Sunday night. Lunch is included on the all day ride. ( All day ride is replaced by two riding sessions for complete beginners.)

The riding schedule for the week usually follows the schedule below.

Day 1 Monday:

Arrival day. You will be welcomed to the guest-house by the hosts Lidia and Bela. After settling into your room you will be invited to a short welcome meeting with us, where we will discuss the week ahead in the company of a welcome drink. Then you can settle down to a delicious dinner.

We aim to ride between 1 and 3 hours each half day session . If however you choose not to ride or only wish to ride one of the sessions, this is ok, however the missed session cannot be used later. Please also note that booked riding hours are not transferable. This schedule is suitable for riders who are able to trot and canter comfortably. For complete beginners we offer a reduced riding week starting with lessons in the sand schools and the all day ride is replaced by morning and afternoon riding sessions. This is for your comfort as the all day ride can be quite demanding if you do not ride regularly. For safety reasons you may be on a lead reign depending on each individual circumstance.

Day 2 Tuesday:

After lunch Edina will accompany you to the Ranch to meet Laszlo, the Manager and the horses. You will be matched with your horse following an ability check. This should take no longer than 1 hour depending on the size of the group. After this you will go out on your first ride with Laci and Edina.

Day 3 Wednesday:

There will be two riding sessions today. Following breakfast you will set out on the morning ride. After a few hours break for lunch you will ride out again for another riding session in the afternoon.

Day 4 Thursday:

Today you will have two riding sessions just as on Wednesday.

Day 5 Friday:

You will set out on an all day trail ride in the morning between 9:00 - 10:00 AM. You will spend approximately 6-7 hours in the saddle riding through green forests and cantering on open fields with breathtaking views. There will be a 2 hour lunch break in a restaurant, for you to have something delicious to eat, a well earned rest and food and drink for the horses. This lunch is included in the holiday price except for your drinks. Please note that the all day ride might be moved to another day due to unforeseen circumstances such as bad weather. The all day ride is only available in the summer season.

Day 6 Saturday:

The morning is free so you can have a well earned rest after your all day ride and have a riding session in the afternoon.

Day 7 Sunday:

You will ride out once again in the morning for your final session.

In the evening you are invited for a BBQ dinner / fairwell party at the rotunda on the ranch in the summer season, weather permitting.
