Fenyes Puszta Ranch.
Fenyes Puszta Ranch is located in an idyllic spot at the foot of the Matra mountains. Nestled in a clearing in the forest the ranch enjoys great views down the valley. The ranch has a large American style barn to accommodate 20 horses. There are a couple of sand schools and around 15 hectares of fenced grazing for the horses. A hay barn and shelter for pigs, goats and ox make up the rest of the ranch buildings. A large covered rotunda with an outdoor stone oven and BBQ grills is the perfect place for a party. Once a week we cook a pot goulash or bake fresh pizza and enjoy some beer or a glass of wine with our guests.
Carriage driving tuition is also available at the ranch with a two horse team. The cost is £17 per Hour. Alternatively you can hire a carriage and driver and take in the scenery during a horse drawn carriage ride through the forest. The cost is approx £20 / hour for up to 4 people and £30 / hour for 5 - 9 people. A trip to the beautiful 'Ilona' waterfall can also be enjoyed by carriage. For groups we can arrange for a traditional show of Hungarian horsemanship which lasts about 20-25 minutes at the Ranch. All these extra activities can be arranged on request.
At Fenyes Puszta Ranch you are welcome to get involved with grooming and tacking of your horse for the week, however this is entirely at your discretion. Please advise us when booking. We recommend that you bring your own hat and boots and suitable clothing for variable weather conditions. If you don't have your own equipment don't worry as we can provide a hat and chaps for £5/week, just remember a sturdy pair of boots or shoes.
The ranch is managed by Laszlo (Laci) Fazekas, he is a trained rider and carriage driver with over 15 years experience leading riding groups, he has also worked in Switzerland for 2 years training horses. He performs in local bareback riding displays and also trains horses at the ranch. He lives on the Ranch with his family.
Airport transfers are available for this ranch at £30 per person return.

The horses working at the ranch are Lipizzaners, Hungarian half bloods (Kisberi) and Lipizzaner half bloods. They are aged between 5 and 17 years and are incredibly easy going relaxed horses. All are forward going and responsive. We have horses available to suit all abilities and horse riding is available all year round even in winter.
